Job Summary
Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) Nurse in an inpatient setting. This position involves performing independent nursing functions and delegated medical tasks in accordance with the state Board of Nursing standards. The role includes assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care, as well as providing health education, counseling, and treatment support to patients.
Job Details
- Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week, from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM.
- Certifications, Education, and Experience: Current RN license in the state of practice, BLS (American Heart Association), ACLS (American Heart Association), NIHSS, with 1+ years of clinical experience as a registered nurse.
- Responsibilities include assessing health status, executing medical and nursing interventions, referring patients for further evaluation, monitoring therapy plans, documenting according to regulatory standards, and using available resources efficiently.
- May be required to float to other departments within scope of competency and qualifications based on operational needs.
- May be placed on-call during scheduled shifts.
