Job Summary
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Nurse in a healthcare facility. This position involves providing specialized care to neonates, including infants born prematurely or with health complications, within a Level II NICU setting. The role requires a focus on patient safety and quality outcomes in a dynamic clinical environment.
Job Details
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), STABLE.
- Education Requirements: Valid state license; Compact license must be in hand at submission.
- Experience Requirement: At least 1 year of NICU experience preferred; minimum 0 years required.
- Location Requirement: Must be within 50 miles of the healthcare facility.
- Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Additional Unit Information: Manage neonates aged 29-34 weeks, with a daily census of approximately 4 infants. Responsibilities include managing CPAP, UAC, UVC lines, and ventilator management (AC/PC/SIMV/CPAP/BIPAP/PEEP).
- Additional clinical details: Support of high-risk deliveries, breastfeeding, neonatal stabilization, and handling of neonatal equipment.
- Licensing: Valid state license; at least 1 year of relevant experience preferred.
- References: Two references covering at least one year within the last three years are required.
- Travel and scheduling notes: Candidates may be expected to float between nearby sister facilities and must be flexible for holiday shifts; specific scheduling requests must be made during submittal.
