Job Summary:
Emergency Room (ER) Registered Nurse (RN) position in a critical access hospital located in a rural setting. The role involves providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced ER environment, with responsibilities spanning triage, patient assessment, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams. This assignment is suitable for applicants with at least one year of relevant experience and current certifications.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Day shifts, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week, beginning on 10/05/2026 and ending on 01/04/2027
- Required Qualifications: Valid state license (compact license accepted), at least 1 year of nursing experience, current certifications in ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, and TNCC, and experience with interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, patient with multisystem organ failure, central line care, IV sedation, blood product administration, and ventilated patient care.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in a trauma or critical access hospital setting, familiarity with electronic charting systems such as Epic, and experience with interdisciplinary support services such as radiology and pharmacy.
- Additional Information: The role requires floating between units as needed; candidates must be flexible with variable day and evening shifts, with no night shifts required. The environment supplies necessary equipment such as Telestroke and Telepsych services. Orientation includes 40 hours, and candidates are expected to work three of the five major holidays. References covering the last three years are required.
