Job Summary:
Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory (CCL) RN position is available in a healthcare organization located in Danbury, Connecticut. The role involves providing specialized nursing care for high-acuity, invasive cardiovascular and neurovascular procedures, including cardiac catheterizations, neuro-interventional, and structural heart interventions. The RN will be responsible for assisting with procedures such as mechanical thrombectomy, coiling, and embolizations within a high-stakes, fast-paced environment.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 3 twelve-hour shifts per week, Monday through Friday, with variable start times from 6:00 AM to 8:00 AM. Weekend and holiday on-call responsibilities based on department needs.
- Required Qualifications: Connecticut Registered Nurse (RN) License; minimum of 3 years' experience in cardiac catheterization (cath) or electrophysiology (EP) labs; proficiency in circulating and scrubbing in cath, EP, neuro cases; ACLS and BLS certifications.
- Preferred Qualifications: Critical care registered nurse (CCRN) certification; Cardiovascular (CV), Radiology (RCIS), or Neuro certifications; neuro experience including mechanical thrombectomy, coiling, pipeline, embolizations; proficiency in hemodynamic monitoring and procedural sedation.
- Additional Information: The RN will assist in invasive, high-acuity cardiovascular and neurovascular procedures. Strong communication skills and the ability to function effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment are essential.
