Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a Med/Telemetry Spine unit in an acute care hospital setting
- Monitor and interpret telemetry readings, identifying and responding to cardiac changes promptly
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions in accordance with physician orders and facility protocols
- Document patient assessments, care delivered, and clinical outcomes accurately in the electronic health record
- Educate patients and families on diagnoses, discharge planning, and post-care instructions
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in North Carolina or compact state eligibility
- Current BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience in a Med/Telemetry or related acute care setting
- Demonstrated ability to monitor and respond to telemetry in a clinical environment
- Ability to fulfill a 13-week travel contract commitment
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience on a spine or orthopedic unit
- Experience working in a large, high-acuity hospital or regional referral center
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems in an acute care environment
