Job Summary
Labor and Delivery Nurse, located in the specified healthcare setting, will provide independent nursing care in a perioperative environment. This role involves delivering routine and complex care, assessing patient needs, administering treatments, and collaborating with care teams to ensure optimal outcomes.
Job Details
- Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (BSN), RN License in the state of Texas or compact, current certification from the National Certification Corporation (NCC) in Electronic Fetal Monitoring (C-EFM) or American Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN) Intermediate Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM), BLS certification (AHA only), ACLS certification (AHA only), NRP certification, minimum of 1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in Perinatal Nursing.
- Additional Information: All newly hired experienced registered nurses must attend New Nurses Orientation within the first 30 days of hire. Precepted by designated trained staff, with onboarding validated through competency assessments. Completion of all annual competency requirements and Perinatal Department-specific training is required. Experience in a Perinatal setting or Perinatal RN Residency is preferred.
