Job Description
As a vital member of the interdisciplinary team, the traveler will contribute professional clinical knowledge and skills in the provision and management of care for patients in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). The nurse may be required to float within the same discipline across multiple locations.
Shift Schedule
- Shift: 0730, 4x10
- Weekend Requirements: On call during the 5th weekend
- On Call Requirements: One night a week and every 5th weekend

Job Responsibilities
The Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in the PACU setting, including but not limited to:
- Monitoring post-operative patients and assessing their recovery
- Administering medications and managing pain effectively
- Providing education and support to patients and their families
- Collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of previous nursing experience
- Completion of at least 1 travel contract is preferred
- Experience with EPIC electronic medical records
- Current Iowa State license is required
- Illinois license must be applied for at the time of offer
- Must not have been an employee within the last 12 months
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, and PALS are required
- Driver’s License is required
Additional Information
The RN will work at a level 3 trauma center located in various cities including Madison, Sioux City, Bettendorf, Fort Dodge, Moline, Muscatine, and Rock Island. Summer holidays including Memorial Day, Independence Day, and Labor Day will require the traveler to work 1-2 of the mentioned holidays.
