Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Nights | 4x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:00)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a high-acuity, fast-paced 54-bed Emergency Room averaging 220+ patients per day
- Manage and prioritize care for a diverse patient population within a Level 2 Trauma Center
- Accurately document all patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes using EPIC
- Float to other units in rotation with facility staff, in accordance with facility floating policies and Joint Commission standards
- Participate in orientation modules and annual competency training completed through the Relias/Net Learning portal
- Expect to work some holidays and weekends as part of standard scheduling requirements
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room nursing experience
- Minimum 1 year of travel nursing experience required
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC certifications required (pending certifications may be considered as substitutes)
- NIH Stroke Scale certification required (pending accepted)
- Proficiency in EPIC EMR is required
- 2-Step PPD and Flu Vaccine required – no exemptions accepted
- Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in a Level 1 or Level 2 Trauma Center environment
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in a high-volume, high-acuity emergency setting
- Strong critical thinking and rapid assessment skills in a fast-paced clinical environment
