This position requires a night shift, specifically 3x12 hours from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with every other weekend and holiday rotation.
Job Description
The successful candidate will work in a primarily medical-surgical unit with required tele capability. The role includes overseeing patient care, working as a charge RN when needed, and floating to various departments as required. Travelers are subject to float across all facilities within the system as needed.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage patient health through the use of telemetry.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, including blood products and IV management.
- Utilize Rapid Response teams for patient emergencies.
- Conduct EKGs and interpret results.
- Coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams, including physical therapy and respiratory services.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Active RN license required upon submission.
- BLS certification is mandatory.
- Previous charge experience is required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.
- Experience with Epic EMR is preferred.
- Must successfully complete an EKG exam during onboarding.
