🔥 NIGHT-SHIFT NICU / PICU REGISTERED RESPIRATORY THERAPIST CONTRACT – AKRON CHILDREN'S
First Connect Health has an immediate 12-week travel contract opening for an experienced Neonatal / Pediatric Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) in Akron, Ohio. Operating within Respiratory Care Services at Akron Children's Hospital, this position offers a structured 3x12 overnight schedule (19:00 PM - 07:00 AM / 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM). If you are a credentialed RRT experienced with Servo ventilators, high-frequency oscillatory ventilation, nitric oxide delivery, and neonatal critical care looking to earn $2,506/week with max tax-free stipends, this contract is tailored for you!
💰 PRE-CALCULATED PAY PACKAGE
- Weekly Gross: $2,506.00
- Weekly Tax-Free Stipend: $1,246.00
- Hourly W2 Rate: $35.00/hr (36 regular hours)
- Overtime Rate: $52.50/hr
📅 SHIFT & POSITION DETAILS
- Schedule: Night shifts, 3x12-Hours (19:00 PM - 07:00 AM / 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM). Block scheduling is not available.
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 regular hours guaranteed weekly.
- Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend (EOW) rotation.
- On-Call Requirements: Standby call rate is $7.50/hr ($125.00/hr call-back rate).
- Clinical Scope & High-Acuity Care: Patient populations include prematurity, congenital anomalies, infectious respiratory diseases, pediatric trauma, CF, technology-dependent patients, and neuromuscular disorders. Manages mechanical ventilation (Servo ventilators experience mandatory), high-frequency jet/oscillating ventilation, CPAP/BiPAP, HFNC, and inhaled nitric oxide (iNO).
- Floating Requirements: Floating across acute units and partner sites required as needed (including Beeghly, Summa, PICU/Stepdown, and offsite NICU/L&D).
- EMR Charting: Epic EMR.
🚨 REQUISITE QUALIFICATIONS FOR SUBMISSION
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of clinical respiratory experience in pediatric or neonatal critical care is required (Level 3 or Level 4 NICU background preferred; standalone children's hospital experience preferred). Prior travel experience is required.
- Licensure: Active Ohio Respiratory Care Professional License strictly required in hand at submittal.
- Certifications Required: * Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential via NBRC
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
- American Heart Association (AHA) Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- AHA Basic Life Support (BLS)
