Job Summary:
Operating Room (OR) nurse in a healthcare facility. This role involves providing specialized perioperative care for surgical patients across a variety of procedures, including trauma, neuro, vascular, and orthopedic surgeries. The position requires flexibility to cover night shifts, on-call duties, and potential weekend coverage, supporting high-acuity cases with a focus on trauma experience.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: 3 years of experience in operating room nursing, current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification, valid and unrestricted licensure, at least 1 year of travel or community hospital OR experience, and experience with trauma, neuro, vascular, and orthopedic procedures.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with trauma Level I and II designation, ability to float between units, and familiarity with Epic charting system.
- Float: Float rotation may be required, with coverage across related units as needed.
- Additional Information: Candidates should be flexible to cover one night shift as needed. Travel experience and trauma background are strongly preferred. Candidates must commit to working three of the five major holidays and include all RTO (Request for Time Off) details at the time of submission. References covering 1 year (6 months for CNAs) within the last 3 years are required. Candidates may need to float between sister facilities, and there is an expectation of adherence to all patient safety and safety protocols.
