Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 1 year of recent Behavioral Health / Psychiatric Nursing experience within the last year
- Comfort working with all age groups, including pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and every other weekend
- Strong communication, assessment, and de-escalation skills
- Experience with paper charting preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care in an acute inpatient psychiatric and behavioral health setting
- Support stabilization, recovery, and individualized treatment planning
- Monitor patient conditions, document findings, and communicate changes promptly
- Participate in therapeutic interventions and care planning with the interdisciplinary team
- Maintain a safe, supportive environment for patients, families, and staff
- Collaborate with the care team to help patients progress to the next level of care
- Deliver compassionate, age-appropriate care to individuals experiencing mental health, mood, and behavioral disorders
