Job Summary:
Medical Surgical with Telemetry (MS TELE) position located in the local area. This role involves providing comprehensive medical-surgical care across various patient types, with a focus on telemetry and cardiac monitoring. The position requires adaptable team members capable of handling a diverse range of clinical situations while supporting unit growth and community service.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: 24 months of current Med Surg / Medical Surgical / Med Surg Tele experience, Iowa or multistate license, active BLS certification, proficient in caring for all patient types, experience with Heparin, and recent charge or precept experience.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with EPIC Electronic Medical Record, telemetry/cardiac background, and recent Charge or Precept roles.
- Float: Float to all campuses, including Iowa Methodist and Iowa Lutheran.
- Additional Information: Orientation begins on 10/05/2026 with a 16-hour new hire orientation; holiday work required unless the unit is closed. Call back pay at 1.5x with a 2-hour minimum, no on-call requirement, and weekend work includes every third weekend. Submission must include 24 months of med-surg experience, a valid Iowa or multistate nursing license, and references within 24 months.
