Job Summary:
Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) registered nurse position available in an acute care facility. The nurse will deliver individualized peri-anesthesia nursing care for adolescent, adult, and elderly patients, adhering to standards of peri-anesthesia nursing and pharmacology. This position requires knowledge of airway management, nursing assessment parameters, and pharmacology, including medication doses, interactions, side effects, and reactions. The shift is scheduled for days, with a duration from October 5, 2026, through January 4, 2027.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 10-hour shifts, 4 days per week, starting between 9:00 AM and 12:30 PM; minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid California registered nurse licensure, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and a minimum of 2 years of PACU RN experience, preferably in a high-acute care hospital setting.
- Preferred Qualifications: Extensive cardiac/cath lab experience.
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS.
- Skills: End-Tidal CO2 monitoring, airway assessment, care of ventilated patients, care of pediatric patients, airway management, monitoring of cardiac rhythms, and familiarities with electronic health record systems such as Epic.
- Experience: At least 2 years of PACU RN experience required.
- Additional Information: Float to other facilities or campuses may be required based on census and operational needs. Successful candidates must complete all onboarding modules within 3-5 days of contract signing, with additional compliance and verification processes required prior to start date.
