Contract | Full-Time | Nights | 12-Hour Shifts | Every Other Weekend | Expected 72 hours biweekly (on-call hours not included)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a 49-bed general medical/surgical telemetry unit serving adult and geriatric populations
- Manage patients presenting with a wide variety of acute conditions and multiple comorbidities
- Monitor and interpret telemetry/ECG readings and respond appropriately to changes in patient status
- Administer medications accurately and in accordance with facility protocols
- Document all patient care activities utilizing the EPIC EMR system
- Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary team members to ensure continuity and quality of care
Required Qualifications
- Current Massachusetts RN License — must be active at time of submission
- Current AHA BLS Certification required
- ACLS Certification required
- Current telemetry experience required
- EPIC EMR experience required
- Must pass pre-acceptance ECG/Telemetry and Medication tests (proctored via Zoom; must be scheduled within 48 hours of tentative offer)
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Medical/surgical nursing experience
- Experience caring for adult and geriatric patients with complex, multi-comorbidity presentations
- Strong time management skills in a fast-paced acute care environment
