Contract | 12-Hour Night Shifts | Every Other Weekend | Expected 72 Hours Biweekly (on-call hours not included)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a Medical/Surgical Telemetry unit during 12-hour night shifts
- Monitor and interpret telemetry data, responding appropriately to changes in patient condition
- Document patient assessments, care plans, and outcomes accurately using EPIC
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure safe, high-quality patient outcomes
- Float to an additional affiliated hospital location as needed to support staffing requirements
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Massachusetts
- EPIC electronic health record proficiency required
- BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required
- Minimum 2 years of Telemetry or Medical/Surgical nursing experience
- Must successfully pass a day-one competency assessment upon arrival at orientation (one attempt only); candidates must also complete Relias testing during onboarding (up to 2 attempts) in preparation for the onsite assessment
- Candidates previously employed at this health system must have been separated for 6 or more months and be in good standing to be eligible
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience floating between units or facilities in a fast-paced hospital environment
- Strong telemetry interpretation and cardiac monitoring skills
- Familiarity with onboarding competency testing platforms such as Relias
