Description
American Traveler is hiring an Occupational Therapist for a Home Health position requiring 2+ years of experience and a valid driver's license for in-home patient visits.
Details
- Home Health setting providing patient care in patients' homes
- Day shift, Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM with weekend rotation
- 5 shifts per week at 8 hours per shift
- Must work Thanksgiving and New Year's holidays
- Interdisciplinary team collaboration for coordinated patient care
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited occupational therapy curriculum
- Eligible for the National Registration Examination of the American Occupational Therapy Association
- License required if applicable
- Minimum 2 years of experience required
- Current BLS certification required
- Valid driver's license and proof of auto insurance required
- Must have own vehicle for home visits
Additional Information
- Evaluate patients' functional status and interpret and implement physician's plan of care
- Complete assessments and reassessments based on objective tests and measurements
- Communicate with interdisciplinary team members individually and through team meetings
- Provide education and direction to patients and coworkers
- Work both independently and collaboratively
- Complete accurate and concise documentation of all treatment activities
- Adapt to emergency situations and changes in patient condition
- CRASE training required if assignment extends beyond 6 months
