Job Summary:
Registered Nurse (RN) Progressive Care Unit LewisGale Medical Center. This position involves providing high-quality patient care within a 15-bed progressive care unit on a 3rd-floor main campus. The role requires overseeing post-cardiac catheterization, surgical, and telemetry patients, with a focus on cardiac rhythms and surgical recovery, during night shifts.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid RN licensure, BLS (Basic Life Support) certification, ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification, PCU (Progressive Care Unit) experience, knowledge of cardiac rhythms and surgical patient management, chest tube management, epidurals, and post-operative care.
- Preferred Qualifications: Strong teamwork skills, effective time management, outgoing and team-oriented personality, willingness to go above and beyond for patients.
- Additional Information: The role involves caring for post cardiac cath, EP studies, device placements, groin management, critical drips, epidurals, PCA, and post-operative surgical patients requiring cardiac monitoring. Candidates should possess excellent communication skills, adaptability to high patient turnover, and a compassionate approach to patient care.
