Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a 40-bed Medical/Surgical unit with a 1:7 patient ratio
- Perform unit-specific procedures including EKGs, glucose monitoring, and venipuncture
- Document patient care and clinical information using the Meditech documentation system
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including a clinical nurse coordinator, PCTs, and a unit coordinator per shift
- Adhere to floating policy — contract labor is first to float to like units as needed
- Maintain current BLS certification and comply with all facility dress code requirements (royal blue scrub top and bottom)
Required Qualifications
- Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Georgia
- BLS certification required
- Minimum of 2 years of Medical/Surgical nursing experience
- Minimum of 1 year of patient experience in a relevant care setting
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with Meditech electronic documentation system
- Familiarity with Med/Surg workflows in an acute care hospital environment
- Comfort with high patient ratios and fast-paced unit environments
