PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE - Hospital Privileges Required: Yes
REQUIRED PROCEDURES - Newborn Nursery care and management
- High-risk delivery attendance and resuscitation
- Emergency Room consults for pediatric patients
- Pediatric inpatient unit management
- Resuscitation and stabilization of critically ill newborns pending NICU transport
JOB REQUIREMENTS - Licenses: Active NY State License
- Board: Board Certified Pediatrician
- Certifications: NRP, PALS, BLS (AHA or RQI)
- Other Qualifications: Epic Experience Required
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES - Provide coverage for Newborn Nursery, including attending high-risk deliveries and stabilizing newborns.
- Conduct emergency room consults for pediatric patients.
- Manage the Pediatric inpatient unit, overseeing patient care and treatment plans.
- Resuscitate and stabilize critically ill newborns pending transport to a higher-level NICU.
- Perform 24-hour call shifts, remaining accessible and able to return to the hospital within 20 minutes.
