Description
American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab/EP Technologist for a Level I Trauma teaching hospital, requiring experience in both Cath Lab and Angio with scrub proficiency.
Details
- Acute care, Level I Trauma teaching hospital setting
- Cath Lab unit performing diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures
- 4x10 hour day shifts, Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
- On-call requirement of approximately one weeknight per week and one weekend every 3-4 weeks
- Uses Epic for charting
- Uses Philips equipment and ultrasound
- Float within site and across the system as requested
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year experience in Cath Lab and Angio with scrub experience
- Current BLS, ACLS, and ARRT-R certifications required
- Active Oregon state license required, or proof of Oregon license application and fingerprinting (license required if applicable)
- Epic charting experience required
- Experience with cardiac cath lab procedures, cardiac stent placement, and diagnostic catheterizations (adult)
- Experience with left and right heart catheterization, PCI, PTCA, and interpretation of dysrhythmias
- Skilled in scrub procedures and maintaining sterile field
- One professional reference from a Charge Nurse, Supervisor, or Manager required, preferably within the last year
- No felony convictions accepted; any background hit requires explanation statement and waiver/approval documentation
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include equipment set up, prepping access sites, room circulating, and scrubbing to maintain sterile field
- Recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias is a key responsibility
- Stocks supplies and manages PACS system operation
- Scrubs are provided for this unit
- Free parking available in any unrestricted space
- Local candidates accepted
- Candidates may not reside within 50 miles of any facility location
- Maximum of 7 days RTO permitted, with no RTO allowed during the first 2 weeks of the assignment
- Former staff must be separated from the facility/system for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
- All required education and compliance modules must be completed within one week of assignment start
- First-time travelers may be considered with the right experience
