- Schedule: Variable shifts may include days, evenings, 8s, 10s, or 12s
- Call: Required, including weekday, weekend, and holiday coverage as needed
- Float: May be required to float within the organization as needed
- Weekend Coverage: 3 weekend shifts per 13 weeks as needed
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,280 - $2,400
- Setting: Level I Trauma Operating Room
- Charting System: Epic
- Patient Population: Adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
- Case Volume: Approximately 45-50 surgical procedures per day
Job Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of Operating Room RN experience
- Ability to scrub in the OR
- Recent experience in a Level I trauma center
- Strong experience with DaVinci Xi robotic surgery
- Strong experience with liver transplant cases
- Must have experience in at least one of the following service lines: Neuro or Ortho
- BLS and NIHSS certification required
- Must be proficient with Epic electronic health record (EHR)
- Valid compact or Ohio state RN license in hand at time of submission
- Education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume surgical environment
Responsibilities
- Provide skilled perioperative nursing support across a wide range of surgical specialties
- Scrub and assist with complex cases including general surgery, trauma, orthopedics, neurosurgery, spine, ENT, plastics, burns, urology, GYN, transplant, and robotic procedures
- Support safe, efficient operating room flow while maintaining sterile technique and strong attention to detail
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and OR staff to deliver excellent patient care
- Participate in call coverage and weekend/holiday scheduling based on unit needs
- Adapt to variable scheduling and organizational float needs
- Maintain readiness for a high-acuity, high-volume surgical environment
