Senior Associate (Multiple openings)
Location: New York, NY
Duties include:
• Analyze investment opportunities including financial modeling, valuation and return analysis for private equity investments and taking into account private equity market dynamics.
• Prepare term sheets and letters of intent and review of related transaction documentation, including digital infrastructure deals (including but not limited to fiber, data centers and towers) and Spectrum-related transactions;
• Conduct market and industry research including investment model development and management.
• Prepare transaction due diligence.
• Prepare presentation materials for both internal and external matters.
• Present investment recommendations to investment team.
• Monitor select portfolio investments and prepare portfolio investment valuation analysis , including analyzing investments and performing financial analysis, financial modeling including drivers-based operational builds, financing structures, mergers analysis and investment vehicle structuring.
• Share knowledge and best practices gained from deal and industry experience.
• Mentor and train junior Associates and share knowledge and best practices gained from deal and industry experience.
• Review of FCC records for comparable transactions, including FCC systems and data sets (e.g., ECFS, Allnet, Airwavez).
• Spatial review of third-party data sets to assess TAM and competitive intensity, including use of GIS tools (e.g., ESRI, QGIS).
• Data room review, diligence tracker ownership, and third-party advisor management.
• Investment memo authorship and IC readiness.
• Portfolio company engagement expectations.
• Liese between management and Grain to spearhead key operational initiatives.
• Monitor ongoing performance relative to budget and key value creation drivers.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor’s degree, or its foreign equivalent, in Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering or a related quantitative field.
• At least 2 years of experience in investment banking, investing, or management consulting involving: (a) analyzing investments and performing financial analysis, financial modeling (including drivers-based operational builds, financing structures, merger analyses, and investment vehicle structuring), investment model development and management, and valuation/return analysis); (b) digital infrastructure deals (including but not limited to fiber, data centers and towers) and Spectrum-related transactions; including some experience with FCC systems and data sets and reviewing FCC records for comparable transactions.
• Completion of a Case Study (within 2 hours) with a minimum score of 23 (on a scale of 0-30).
Salary: $190,000 -$205,000
