- Position: Telemetry Registered Nurse (Telemetry RN / Neuro Telemetry RN)
- Location: Spokane, Washington 99204
- Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Shift Duration: 12-hour nights
- Assignment Length: 13 or 26 weeks
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,960 - $2,070
- Setting: Acute care telemetry / neuro telemetry unit
- Charting System: Epic
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Float Requirement: May be asked to float to meet unit needs
- Orientation: 36 hours
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in hand at time of submission
- Compact license required at submission when applicable
- At least 1 year of RN experience required
- Telemetry nursing experience required; neuro experience preferred for this unit
- For select night-shift openings, at least 6 months of neuro experience is required
- Experience caring for neurology and neurosurgical patients strongly preferred
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
- Epic charting experience required
- Must be comfortable with a 1:5 patient ratio and a busy high-acuity environment
- Must be willing to work 3 of the 5 major holidays as scheduled
- Two professional references covering at least 1 year of recent experience
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to telemetry and neuroscience patients
- Monitor cardiac rhythms, interpret dysrhythmias, and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
- Care for patients with CVA, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, and post-neurosurgical needs
- Perform NIH Stroke Scale assessments and support stroke-focused care plans
- Manage noninvasive respiratory support such as BiPAP and CPAP as clinically indicated
- Support chest tube management and other specialized neuro/tele procedures within scope of practice
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to promote safe, effective, patient-centered care
- Float within the unit or nearby sister facilities as needed to support patient care
- Document accurately and efficiently in Epic
- Maintain flexibility, professionalism, and a strong commitment to quality outcomes
