About the Position
LocumJobsOnline is working with Barton Associates to find a qualified Hematology and Oncology MD in Oregon!
We are seeking a skilled Hematologist/Oncologist for a 208-day locum tenens assignment in Oregon. The Physician will work 3-4 days per week, 8am to 5pm, in a hospital-based clinic. This role involves managing a gradually increasing patient load, providing comprehensive care for a 50/50 split of Hematology and Oncology cases, and conducting new consults, follow-ups, and transition of care appointments.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Work 3-4 days per week in a hospital-based clinic
- Gradually increase patient load from 4-5 patients initially to 10-15 patients per day
- Manage a 50/50 split of Hematology and Oncology cases
- Allocate 60 minutes for new patient consults
- Conduct follow-up appointments within 20-30 minutes
- Perform 45-minute transition of care consultations
- Work within a facility where the Infusion Center and Clinic are co-located
- Provide care without the need for chair-side infusion
- Exclude Leukemia and Bone Marrow cases from the caseload
