- Schedule Notes: Nights, every other weekend, and every other holiday coverage may be required
Job Requirements
- 4+ years of recent acute care nursing experience
- Recent stepdown experience preferred for night shift coverage
- Ability to independently read telemetry strips with strong accuracy
- Must pass an on-site telemetry exam on Day 1 with a score of 84% or better
- 1 successful recent travel contract required
- Experience with Meditech IVs and telemetry strongly preferred
- Strong ability to adapt quickly to different units and patient populations
- Psychiatric nursing experience highly preferred
- EPIC experience strongly preferred
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Active Registered Nurse license required
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to adult telemetry and MedSurg patients across multiple units
- Deliver safe, timely assessments, interventions, and ongoing patient monitoring
- Interpret telemetry rhythms and respond appropriately to patient status changes
- Adapt quickly to varying unit workflows, patient acuity levels, and clinical needs
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to support excellent patient outcomes
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and uphold unit standards of care
- Support a patient ratio of approximately 5:1 while prioritizing safety and quality
- Contribute to a positive, team-oriented float pool environment
