Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, 3x12-Hour Shifts) | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) setting during night shift hours
- Float to NICU and Acute Care Pediatrics as needed based on staffing requirements and within scope of practice
- Work 3 weekends per six-week schedule as part of standard scheduling expectations
- Work 2 out of 3 winter holidays as required by unit scheduling
- Maintain compliance with all facility policies, including documentation in Epic
- Complete specialty-specific orientation modules as assigned during onboarding
Required Qualifications
- Active Virginia RN license (pending licenses accepted; must be in hand by the Wednesday before start date)
- BLS certification required
- PALS certification required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Nursys verification required at time of submission
- References required
- Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible (locals are not accepted for this unit)
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Pediatric cardiac experience is a plus
- BSN preferred
- Prior travel nursing experience in a PICU or pediatric specialty setting
