Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts | 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a Labor and Delivery unit supporting low and high-risk patients across triage, LDR, OR, NICU, and post-partum settings
- Perform and interpret external fetal monitoring, including recognition and treatment of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns
- Circulate for C-sections as required
- Float to Perinatal unit as needed
- Participate in mandatory on-call shifts, expected approximately 2 times per month in addition to scheduled shifts
- Document and communicate using EPIC, SBAR, Omnicell, and eMD Allscripts systems
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of Labor and Delivery RN experience required
- Active California RN license required at time of submission
- EPIC experience required
- AHA BLS certification required
- ACLS certification required
- NRP certification required
- AWHONN Advanced certification required
- Must be willing to work most holidays; expected 4 weekend shifts per month (Friday or Saturday nights)
- Advanced EKG exam required prior to start (onsite, 20 questions + 17 rhythm strips; 80% minimum passing score, two attempts permitted)
- Completion of required specialty modules required prior to start
- Smoke/nicotine-free facility; must arrive free of tobacco odor
- Local candidates are accepted at the travel rate
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with diverse patient populations including neonates, adolescents, and adults
- Familiarity with Omnicell and eMD Allscripts systems
- Experience in both low and high-risk Labor and Delivery environments
