Key Responsibilities
- Provide emergency nursing care across a broad spectrum of presentations including trauma, cardiac events, burns, poisonings, and behavioral health emergencies
- Triage and prioritize patients based on acuity, ensuring timely and appropriate interventions
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of physicians, nurses, and paramedics trained in emergency medicine
- Stabilize patients for inpatient admission or transfer when specialty or higher-level care is required
- Operate within a department that includes triage rooms, treatment rooms, dedicated trauma rooms, pediatric and psychiatric rooms, and a specialized decontamination area
- Maintain active BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (American Heart Association) throughout the assignment
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department (ED) experience required
- Previous travel nursing experience of at least 3 months required — non-negotiable
- Rural or small facility experience required
- Active New Hampshire RN license or Compact license required
- Active American Heart Association BLS required
- Active American Heart Association ACLS required
- Active American Heart Association PALS required
- Must have personal reliable transportation
- Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification highly preferred
- Experience working in a critical access or small community hospital setting
