Registered Nurse – PICU / Pediatric Float Pool
Location
Charlottesville, VA
Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 36 or 48 hours per week | 13-Week Assignment
Key Responsibilities
- Float to various pediatric units including PICU, NICU, Pediatric Med/Surg, Pediatric PACU, Pediatric ED Boarders, and Postpartum/Mother Baby
- Deliver safe, high-quality nursing care to pediatric and neonatal patient populations across assigned units
- Adhere to facility float pool policies and practice within established scope of practice
- Participate in orientation modules including specialty-specific training as required
- Rotate every other weekend and every other holiday as scheduled
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of PICU experience required
- NICU experience required; prior NICU/PICU float pool experience a plus
- Active RN license in Virginia (pending license accepted; must be in hand prior to start date)
- BLS, NRP, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- Dr. Brown's Infant Driven Feeding Certification required (may be submitted as pending)
- Epic EMR experience required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Pediatric PACU experience highly preferred
- BSN preferred
- Previous experience in a pediatric float pool setting
