Contract | Days | 12-Hour Shifts (6:45 AM – 7:15 PM) | Every Other Weekend Required | Holidays As Needed
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a 44-bed Medical Surgical unit with nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:5, with the possibility of 1:6
- Monitor telemetry patients in coordination with a dedicated telemetry unit
- Utilize CNA support staff and collaborate with nurse aides to deliver comprehensive patient care
- Float as needed to acute care, cardiology, and the emergency department for acute care patient holds
- Document and manage patient records using Meditech EMR
- Maintain compliance with all BLS (AHA) and NIHSS (AHA) certification requirements throughout the assignment
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license valid in the state of Georgia
- BLS certification required – must be issued by the American Heart Association (AHA)
- NIHSS certification required – must be issued by the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required
- At least 1 prior travel assignment required
- Must reside at least 75 miles from the facility (as indicated on a valid driver's license) to be eligible
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with Meditech EMR preferred but not required
- Prior Medical Surgical travel nursing experience
- Comfort with floating to multiple units including acute care and cardiology settings
