Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Nights | Every Other Weekend | 36 or 48 hours/week
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a 24-bed private room inpatient medical telemetry unit serving an adult medical patient population
- Read and interpret cardiac telemetry strips as a core component of patient monitoring and clinical decision-making
- Manage a patient assignment of 4–5 patients per RN in accordance with unit staffing ratios
- Document patient care accurately and efficiently using EPIC EMR
- Float to other units as needed to support staffing coverage
- Rotate shifts as needed to cover open night shifts, with occasional day shift rotation a few times per month
Required Qualifications
- Active Massachusetts RN License required
- AHA BLS Certification required
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a single location, or 2 years of experience as a travel nurse
- Demonstrated ability to read and interpret cardiac telemetry strips
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in a medical/surgical telemetry setting
- Familiarity with EPIC electronic medical records system
- Comfort with floating and adapting to varying unit needs
