Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a hybrid 28-bed PCU/IMCU unit serving a cardiac population with mixed stepdown, telemetry, and med/surg patients
- Manage and monitor patients presenting with STEMI, NSTEMI, chest pain, and post-cardiothoracic surgery conditions
- Administer and titrate cardiac drips including Milrinone, Dobutamine, and vasopressors
- Maintain patient ratios of 1:3–4 in the progressive care setting; may also be assigned to telemetry beds within the same unit at lower acuity levels
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe, high-quality patient outcomes across varying acuity levels
Required Qualifications
- Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license
- BLS certification required
- ACLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar-sized facility in a PCU, IMCU, stepdown, or telemetry setting
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience caring for cardiac populations including STEMI, NSTEMI, and post-CTS patients
- Familiarity with vasoactive and cardiac drip management in a progressive care environment
- Comfort working across varying acuity levels within a hybrid unit model
