Registered Nurse – Pediatric Float Pool (PICU/NICU)

Contract | Nights (4x12 Hours, 19:00–07:00) | 36 or 48 hours per week | 13-Week Assignment | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Float across various pediatric units including PICU, NICU, Pediatric Med/Surg, Pediatric PACU, Pediatric ED Boarders, and Postpartum/Mother Baby
- Deliver safe, high-quality nursing care to pediatric and neonatal patient populations within scope of practice
- Adapt clinical practice to meet the needs of diverse pediatric units as assigned per float pool scheduling
- Adhere to facility float pool policies and unit-specific protocols
- Participate in orientation modules including specialty-specific training as required
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of PICU experience required
- NICU experience required; must be comfortable with both PICU and NICU patient populations
- Active RN license in Virginia (pending license accepted; must be in hand by the Wednesday prior to start date)
- Required certifications: BLS, NRP, ACLS, and PALS
- Dr. Brown's Infant Driven Feeding Certification required (may be submitted as pending)
- Epic EMR experience required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Previous Pediatric PACU experience highly preferred
- Prior NICU/PICU float pool experience preferred
- BSN preferred
