Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a telemetry setting, continuously monitoring cardiac rhythms and responding to changes in patient condition
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions in accordance with physician orders and established nursing protocols
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
- Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic medical record
- Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license in the state of Iowa or a compact state license that grants practice authority in Iowa
- Current BLS certification required
- Experience in telemetry or a related acute care nursing specialty
- Ability to interpret and respond to cardiac telemetry rhythms
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior travel or contract nursing experience
- ACLS certification
- Familiarity with electronic medical record systems
