Level II Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical Float
Location

Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Rotating Shifts (Days, Evenings, Nights) | Includes Weekends, Holidays, On-Call, and Callback | No Straight Shift Schedules
Key Responsibilities
- Provide competent, patient-centered care in a Medical Surgical float capacity based on established clinical standards
- Operate under the direction of the Nurse Manager while maintaining accountability for assigned patient outcomes
- Assume an expanded role as needed, including charge nurse, preceptor, and committee member responsibilities per unit needs
- Uphold service excellence and contribute to professional development, research, and evidence-based practice initiatives
Required Qualifications
- Active New York State RN License required (NY License ONLY)
- Minimum of two (2) years of RN experience
- Telemetry experience required
- BLS certification required (American Heart Association ONLY)
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior float pool or multi-unit nursing experience
- Experience in a charge nurse or preceptor role
