Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts | 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM | Monday through Friday with every other weekend and some holidays required
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care across IMC Acute Med/Progressive Care and IMC Thoracic units
- Monitor and interpret telemetry for oncology, cardiac, and PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown patients
- Manage patients requiring ventilator support and transplant care
- Float to other units as needed based on staffing requirements
- Pass a Telemetry exam prior to start, meeting strict passing criteria within allowed attempts
Required Qualifications
- Active Wisconsin RN license or Compact RN license required
- BLS and ACLS certifications – American Heart Association (AHA) only
- Telemetry, oncology, cardiac, and PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown experience required
- Ventilator and transplant experience required
- Minimum of two years of inpatient acute care experience within the last three years in the applicable specialty
- Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates are not accepted
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in both progressive care and thoracic IMC settings
- Familiarity with telemetry rhythm interpretation, including identification of lethal rhythms and heart blocks
- Prior travel nursing experience in a high-acuity academic or teaching hospital environment
