Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | 12-Hour Shifts | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a Medical and Pediatrics (MAP) unit; travelers are not assigned pediatric patients and will care for adult patients only
- Manage a diverse adult patient population with conditions including respiratory illness, stroke, neurological disorders, gastrointestinal illness, diabetic management, renal failure, sepsis, wound care, and acute alcohol withdrawal
- Float to all inpatient units as needed based on census and staffing requirements
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation using EPIC
- Adhere to weekend and holiday rotation requirements: every other weekend and every other holiday
- Comply with all facility infection control policies, including masking requirements during flu season if vaccination is declined
Required Qualifications
- Active Wisconsin RN License required
- BLS certification through AHA or ARC required
- Minimum of 2 years of RN experience
- EPIC charting experience required
- Ability to work nights with expected patient ratios of 1:6–7 on night shift
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Trauma Level II experience highly preferred
- Strong ability to work independently, manage tasks efficiently, and adapt to frequent changes throughout a shift
- Collaborative communication style with willingness to engage team members and ancillary staff to support positive patient outcomes
- Resilient, positive attitude with flexibility in a dynamic inpatient environment
