Contract | Night Shift (3x12 Hours, 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | Onsite | 13–26 Week Contract
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical Neuro unit with a patient ratio of 1:5–6
- Care for patients with neuro surgical procedures and neurological diagnoses
- Utilize facility systems including Pyxis, EPIC, and SBAR communication protocols
- Float to other units within or near the facility as needed per assignment requirements
- Fulfill weekend shift requirements as scheduled (approximately 12–16 shifts per contract); unit is flexible and open to discussion
- Be prepared to participate in Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team assignments during catastrophic events, mass casualty incidents, or disasters
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license in NC or a Compact state (pending licensure acceptable at time of submission)
- Minimum of 2 years of registered nursing experience
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification
- Must pass EKG testing prior to start
- Willingness to float within or near the facility as required
- Ability to work a minimum of 2 of 3 major holidays per contract
Preferred Experience / Skills
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification preferred
- Prior experience in a neuro or neuro surgical nursing environment
