Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced Emergency Department setting
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for emergency patients across varying acuity levels
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure timely and effective patient outcomes
- Document patient information and care accurately in the facility's electronic medical records system
- Adhere to facility protocols, safety standards, and infection control policies
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license valid in the state of Maine (or compact license eligibility)
- Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience
- Current BLS certification required
- Ability to work night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Strong critical thinking and triage assessment skills in high-acuity environments
- Ability to adapt quickly to new facility workflows and team dynamics
