Contract | 13 Weeks | Night Shift | 3x12 or 4x12 Hours (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | Weekdays and Every Other Weekend | Possible Extension
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a 70-bed rural Medical Surgical/Telemetry unit with a 1:5 patient ratio
- Monitor and interpret telemetry data and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
- Care for occasional pediatric and adolescent patients as unit needs require
- Collaborate with LPNs on night shift to coordinate and deliver safe, effective patient care
- Float to other units including ER and ICU to support patient care needs as directed
- Document patient care accurately using Cerner EMR
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license in West Virginia or a Compact state (pending license accepted at time of submission)
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience in an acute care or telemetry setting
- BLS (BCLS) and ACLS certifications required — must be through the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Proficiency with telemetry monitoring
- Must have a permanent address greater than 100 miles from the facility; candidates residing between 75–100 miles may be considered on a case-by-case basis
Preferred Experience / Skills
- PALS certification (AHA) preferred
- Pediatric nursing experience
- Charge nurse experience
