Contract | Day/Night Rotation (3x12-Hour Shifts) | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care within an oncology unit in a teaching hospital environment
- Work a day/night rotation schedule; rotation will not occur within the same week but may occur across a 4-week schedule period
- Document patient care and clinical information using Epic
- Float to other units or facilities within the system as needed, provided requisite job specifications are met
- Complete all required non-billable orientation modules prior to start and annually as required
Required Qualifications
- Active California RN License (must be in hand at time of submission)
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
- AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Minimum of 2 years of RN experience (firm requirement)
- Previous travel assignment experience required — first-time travelers are not accepted
- Teaching hospital experience required
- 2 references from most recent employer required at time of submittal
- All University of California medical facility employment history, including acquired facilities, must be disclosed with dates, units, and manager names for rehire eligibility review
- All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at time of offer; RTO cannot fall within the first two weeks of the assignment start date
- Local candidates are accepted and are subject to the same terms as travel candidates
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Telemetry experience
- Ostomy care experience
- Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) certification preferred
