Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care within a Medical/Surgical unit during night shift hours
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
- Monitor and document patient conditions, reporting changes to the appropriate care team members
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and facility protocols
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes
- Fulfill holiday coverage requirements, including 2 major holidays (Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, or New Year's Day) and 1 minor holiday (the Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or New Year's Eve)
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in Medical/Surgical nursing
- AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
- Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
Preferred Experience / Skills
- AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred
- Experience in an acute care or hospital-based Medical/Surgical setting
