Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical unit in accordance with facility policies and nursing standards
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered, monitoring patients for responses and adverse reactions
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to coordinate and optimize patient outcomes
- Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and progress in the medical record
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Iowa or a qualifying compact state license
- Current BLS certification required
- Ability to work a rotating schedule including every other weekend and every other holiday
- Willingness to commit to a 6-month contract assignment
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in a Medical Surgical nursing setting
- Strong critical thinking and clinical assessment skills
- Experience with electronic health record (EHR) documentation systems
