Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Days | 4x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) | 36 or 48 hours/week
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a Progressive Care/Stepdown unit with nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:4–5
- Perform IV starts and monitor patients requiring intermediate-level care
- Participate in weekend rotation as required by the facility
- Float to other units within scope of practice to support staffing needs as needed
- Document patient care accurately using Meditech electronic health records system
- Adhere to all facility compliance requirements, including timely lab check-in within 24 hours of signing
Required Qualifications
- Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license — pending licenses are not accepted
- ACLS and BLS certifications required
- Minimum of 1 year of RN experience, including demonstrated IV start competency
- Meditech charting experience required
- Must live more than 45 miles from the facility to be eligible (local candidates are not accepted)
- Negative 13-panel drug screen within 30 days required; facility accepts Qgold only
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in a PCU, stepdown, or intermediate care setting
- Familiarity with Level 3 Trauma acute care hospital environments
- Flexibility with scheduling, including willingness to work some holidays
