Contract | 12-Hour Rotating Day/Night Shifts | Every Other Weekend Required
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in an intermediate care unit setting with 18 intermediate beds and 18 general neuroscience beds, with the possibility of floating to the Neuro ICU floor
- Manage patients with arterial lines, EVDs, and lumbar drains, including post-operative day zero neuro cases
- Administer TPA and support acute thrombectomy patients as needed
- Manage vasoactive infusions and monitor hemodynamic status
- Maintain a patient ratio of 1:3 and document care using Epic EMR
Required Qualifications
- Active Massachusetts RN License required at time of submission
- CPR – AHA certification required
- ACLS certification required
- NIHSS certification required
- Minimum 3+ years of relevant nursing experience required
- Hands-on experience with EVDs, lumbar drains, and arterial lines required
- Basic ability to navigate web-based applications; Epic EMR experience required
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — local travelers will not be accepted
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in a Neuro ICU or Neuro Intermediate Care setting
- Familiarity with vasoactive infusions and hemodynamic monitoring
- Experience with acute stroke care and thrombectomy patient populations
