Key Responsibilities
- Provide emergency nursing care to both adult and pediatric patient populations in a fast-paced ED environment
- Monitor and interpret telemetry readings, including identification of lethal cardiac rhythms
- Float to other units as needed based on facility staffing requirements
- Document patient care accurately and efficiently using Epic EMR
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, patient-centered emergency care
Required Qualifications
- Active Wisconsin RN license or Compact RN license required
- BLS, PALS, and ACLS certifications – American Heart Association (AHA) only – required
- TNCC certification required
- Minimum two (2) years of Emergency Department experience with adult and pediatric populations within the last three (3) years
- Epic EMR experience required
- Must pass a Telemetry competency exam (adult and pediatric) prior to start; passing criteria are strict and must be met within allowable attempts
- Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with cardiac rhythm interpretation, including advanced arrhythmia recognition
- Prior travel nursing experience in an emergency department setting
- Familiarity with high-acuity, high-volume emergency department environments
