Contract | Full-Time | Nights | 36 Hours per Week | Every Other Weekend | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a 41-bed Medical Telemetry unit serving cardiac, respiratory, metabolic, psychiatric, substance use disorder, GU, and GI patient populations
- Interpret telemetry strips and monitor cardiac rhythms continuously
- Manage cardiac drips and administer high-flow oxygen therapy
- Apply and monitor TR bands as required by patient care needs
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation using EPIC EMR
- Float to applicable units as needed based on census and staffing requirements
Required Qualifications
- Current Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) license
- AHA-certified Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a single position and 2 years of travel nursing experience
- Demonstrated ability to interpret telemetry strips
- Proficiency with cardiac telemetry monitoring and cardiac drip management
- Experience with EPIC EMR
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in a Medical/Surgical Telemetry setting with a diverse patient population
- Familiarity with high-flow oxygen therapy and TR band application
- Experience managing patients with psychiatric or substance use disorder diagnoses in an acute care environment
