Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a Medical/Surgical Neuro unit during day shift hours
- Manage and monitor neurological patients, applying NIHSS assessment skills as part of routine care
- Care for step-down level patients as unit needs require
- Accurately document all patient care activities using EPIC EMR
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to support patient safety and positive outcomes
Required Qualifications
- Active, unrestricted RN license
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Medical/Surgical or Neuro nursing
- NIHSS certification required — must be documented in candidate profile
- ACLS certification required
- Proficiency with EPIC EMR — must be noted on profile
- Neuro nursing experience required
- Availability to work weekends; no block scheduling
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Step-down unit experience
- Strong Med/Surg background with demonstrated ability to manage higher-acuity patients
