Contract (13 or 26 weeks) | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to neonatal patients in an intensive care unit setting
- Adhere to infant-driven feeding protocols, including Dr. Brown's Infant Driven Feeding certification requirements
- Float within scope of practice to other units as needed
- Participate in weekend scheduling, with an expectation of 3 weekends per 6-week scheduling period
- Maintain availability for 2 out of 3 winter holidays as required by unit scheduling
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license in Virginia (pending license accepted; must be in hand by the Wednesday before start date)
- BLS certification required
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification must be in hand at time of submission
- Dr. Brown's Infant Driven Feeding certification required (may be submitted with certification pending)
- Epic EMR experience required
- Nursys verification required at time of submission
- References required
- Candidates must not have exceeded 365 total assignment days at this facility; those who have are not eligible to return regardless of time away
Preferred Experience / Skills
- BSN preferred
- Prior travel nursing experience in a NICU setting
- Familiarity with infant-driven feeding protocols and neonatal specialty workflows
